RESOLVED

A letter from the IRS is one of the most stressful things a taxpayer or business owner can open. We step in as your representative, deal with the IRS and state directly, and build a path back to compliance so you can stop losing sleep over it.

Problems we solve

If any of this sounds familiar, you are in the right place

Most people come to us after months of avoiding the mail. The sooner we get involved, the more options you have.

Back taxes you can't pay

A balance owed to the IRS or state that keeps growing with penalties and interest. We stop the bleeding and negotiate terms you can actually live with.

Unfiled tax returns

One missed year became several. We reconstruct the records, file the back returns, and bring you current before enforcement escalates.

Liens & levies

A federal tax lien on your property or a levy on your accounts. We work to release or subordinate liens and lift levies quickly.

Wage garnishment

The IRS taking a chunk of every paycheck. We move fast to get the garnishment released and replace it with a manageable arrangement.

IRS or state audit

A notice that your return is under examination. You do not face the auditor alone; we represent you and handle the correspondence.

Payroll & trust fund taxes

Unpaid employment taxes and the trust fund recovery penalty that can reach owners personally. We defend the assessment and structure a fix.

How we resolve it

The relief options, and which one actually fits

There is no single fix. The right path depends on what you owe, what you can pay, and your circumstances. We tell you honestly what you qualify for.

Settle

Offer in Compromise

When you genuinely cannot pay the full amount, we may be able to settle the debt for less. It is powerful but narrow, and we only pursue it when you truly qualify, never as a false promise.

Pay over time

Installment agreements

A monthly payment plan sized to what you can afford, including streamlined and partial-pay options that keep enforcement off your back.

Reduce

Penalty abatement

Penalties often make up a large share of the balance. We pursue first-time abatement and reasonable-cause relief to bring the number down.

Pause

Currently Not Collectible

If paying anything would leave you unable to cover basic living expenses, we can request a hardship status that stops collection.

Protect

Innocent spouse relief

When a tax debt belongs to a spouse or former spouse and it is not fair to hold you responsible, we pursue relief on your behalf.

Defend

Audit representation

We stand between you and the examiner, respond to information requests, and work to keep adjustments and exposure to a minimum.

Who we help

Individuals and businesses, both fully represented

Whether the notice came to your kitchen table or your front office, the goal is the same: resolve it and keep it from happening again.

Why us

A licensed CPA firm, not a tax-relief mill

The tax resolution industry is full of national call centers that promise to erase your debt for pennies, take a large fee up front, and hand your case to an unlicensed salesperson.

We are a local CPA firm with a Big Four background. You work directly with a professional who is authorized to represent you before the IRS, who tells you the truth about your options, and who is still here after the case closes to keep you compliant.

No inflated promises. No disappearing act. Just experienced representation and a plan that holds up.

How it works

Four steps from first notice to resolved

1

Protect

We file a power of attorney, put ourselves between you and the IRS, and work to pause aggressive collection.

2

Investigate

We pull your IRS transcripts and account records to see exactly what you owe, for which years, and why.

3

Resolve

We file any missing returns and negotiate the right relief option, whether that is a settlement, a plan, or abatement.

4

Stay compliant

We set up the habits and filings that keep you current, because resolution only holds if you stay caught up.

Common questions

Tax resolution, answered honestly

I owe the IRS more than I can pay. What are my options?
You have more choices than you think. Depending on your finances, we may pursue an installment agreement, penalty abatement, a currently-not-collectible hardship status, or in the right case an Offer in Compromise to settle for less than the full amount. The first step is pulling your transcripts so we can see the full picture and tell you which path realistically fits.
Can you really settle my tax debt for less than I owe?
Sometimes, through an Offer in Compromise, but only if you genuinely qualify based on your income, expenses, and assets. Be wary of any company that promises a settlement before reviewing your finances. We will tell you honestly whether an Offer is realistic for you, or whether another option will serve you better.
The IRS is garnishing my wages or levied my bank account. Can you stop it?
Often yes, and quickly. Once we file a power of attorney and open communication, we work to get the garnishment or levy released, usually by putting an acceptable resolution in place. Time matters here, so the sooner you reach out the better.
I have several years of unfiled returns. What should I do?
File them, with help. Unfiled returns are one of the most common and most fixable problems we see. We reconstruct your income and records, prepare the back returns, and bring you into compliance, which is almost always the precondition for any relief on the balance owed.
I'm being audited. Do I really need representation?
You are not required to have representation, but you should. Speaking with an auditor directly often creates exposure you did not intend. We handle the correspondence and the examination on your behalf and work to keep any adjustments to a minimum.
Do you handle state tax problems in Virginia, Maryland, and DC?
Yes. We are based in Fairfax, Virginia and represent clients before the IRS as well as the Virginia, Maryland, and DC tax authorities, along with other states as needed.
Are you a tax relief company?
No. We are a licensed CPA firm. Your case is handled by credentialed professionals authorized to represent you before the IRS, not by a salesperson at a national call center. That means straight answers, transparent fees, and a firm that is still here after your case is resolved.
